Purpose: To perform a variety of clerical, record processing, and general office work in direct support of a program, department, or school office.
Essential Duties and Responsiblities
Within specialized area of assignment, exercises independent judgment to organize activities, resolve issues, and respond to requests for assistance.
Performs a wide variety of clerical tasks in direct support of specific programs and operations. Work performed requires a basic working knowledge of the policies, procedures, and practices which govern the area of assignment and proficiency in work processing.
Provides secretarial and support services for supervisor and/or department staff.
Provides assistance with coordination of meeting and workshops.
Assists with building/program communications, both oral and written, in a manner that supports effective decision making and facilitates the work of other staff.
Maintains, stores, and retrieves information in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner using standard office systems, equipment, and software.
Monitors supply usage and orders supplies as necessary for program area.
May participate in the training and/or direct the work of students or volunteers as authorized.
Supervises students outside the classroom, as assigned, to support the district's discipline and instructional programs.
Performs minor medical and health procedures as requested in a manner which meets state and district guidelines.
Provides other related services as assigned.

Ability to obtain specialized training as required.
Ability to travel among district facilities as needed; if driving, the ability to meet district driving standards.
Standard First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within two months of hire, may be required.
